Arctic Winter Games is almost equal to arctic sports. But in addition Arctic Winter Games 2016 has arranged workshops for the local school children in Nuuk, who lend their classrooms to accomodation for the many visitors during the week.
 
Today these school workshops launched with a prominent visit from, among others, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik (patron of AWG2016) and General Manager Maliina Abelsen.
 
The guests had the pleasure to watch workshops evolving around for example Thule culture from 1600-1700th, life as a hunter and a demonstration of kayak disciplines by Peqatigiiffik Qajaq.
 
Workshops for the school children will go on all week with a mixture of historical, cultural and creative subjects.
