The tension rose among the Arctic Winter Games participants gathered in front of the Greenlandic Cultural Center, Katuaq, prepared to walk in procession to the sports hall Inussivik for tonights big Opening Ceremony.

The atmosphere condenses right now in the Inussivik Sports Hall where the crowd has swarmed in order to attend the evening's grand opening show.
 
Although there is still some of the many athletes who have been stranded and delayed because of the weekend's bad weather, the Games' management decided to stick with the plan for the opening ceremony on this Sunday evening. 

The seats have long been sold out, and people are festive and excited. Ahead lies presentation of the participating teams, speeches, music, dance and not least, the lightning of the Arctic Winter Games flame.
